Husky Lima Refinery

Lima, OH

Husky Energy’s strategic planning included creating more flexible processing at its 127-year-old Lima, Ohio refinery to accommodate market demands. They turned to PayneCrest to modify the plant to process heavy crude oil from Western Canada.  PayneCrest installed a complex electrical instrumentation package, including modifications to the coker and processing units. Its precise work helped deliver new capabilities, adding 40,000 barrels per day of heavy crude to the plant’s 160,000 barrels a day production.
