Energizing the Gaming Experience

Faced with an enormous “first impressions count” challenge, Penn National Gaming turned to PayneCrest to transform a newly acquired gaming venue into the glitzy Hollywood Casino without disrupting ongoing gaming operations. PayneCrest earned AGC Keystone Award honors by managing 16 fluctuating job assignments, an unrelenting deference to casino customers, an unpredictable and expanded scope of work, strict gaming compliance issues, and even a tornado strike.

Project Highlights

  • Urgently delivered “on-demand” precision installations of 16 separate projects, including last minute modifications
  • Accommodated the mandate to make the overhaul nearly invisible to casino patrons, overcoming limitations to on-site material staging, maneuverability and scheduling
  • Designed installed and integrated data, surveillance and advanced video advertising systems throughout the casino; emergency backup up power; and an intricate fire alarm system
  • Recovered from a tornado strike by swiftly using supplier network to locate generators to power casino
