One of GM’s largest auto plants, the Arlington assembly line, pumps out 1,200 vehicles a day and employs 4,300 workers—and it’s expanding.  PayneCrest was given the task to power a massive plant expansion and other upgrades to accommodate demand for sport utility vehicles like the Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and Escalade.

  • Powered and integrated systems for a new 1.2 million-square-foot body shop, including more than 1,550 robots
  • Installed and integrated general assembly controls
  • Relocated utilities for column and truss reinforcement
  • Delivered electrical installations and integration for a more than 1,400-foot overhead body shop to paint shop conveyer
  • Installed and integrated stamping plant equipment
  • Met unwavering one-month shut down mandate while effectively and safely coordinating with more than 1,200 trade workers executing their own accelerated schedules
